Handling exceptions properly in Document Type Editor

When an exception is thrown from a Plugin class in Document Type Editor, the exception message is shown with a stack trace below the field area in the UI.

An example screenshot which belongs to a DynamicDropdown field, is attached to the issue.
A general solution which covers all field types should be implemented.
