Unit tests fail when JackRabbit validates hierarchy on save

When the repository unit tests are run with the -Dorg.apache.jackrabbit.core.state.validatehierarchy=true system property, the validation fails.
External nodes that have been deleted are returned by the iterator of the filtered changelog, but are not deleted according to the #deleted(ItemId) method.
