    Description

When using the default ascending sorting on a string value using the hippofacnav:sortby, capitals and lowercase letters are sorted separately. I think it makes more sense to have that case insensitive by default. Some extra parameter could maybe determine the way of sorting, so you can still sort case-sensitive if you want.

And what about this: in Dutch the É and E are both sorted between D and F, while in English the É is sorted somewhere after the Z. In Polish the L and the Ł (Ł) are separate letters in the alphabet and should be sorted after each other. So: if there is a way of introducing a locale in the sorting, that would be really brilliant. But perhaps I'm asking too much now. Things to consider though?
