[Backport 7.9] Support pluggable schemes, absolute links and anchors

    Description

      The link handling in the HST should be able to support pluggable schemes, absolute links (e.g. /absolute/path) and anchors (#anchor).

      Some examples of plugable schemes are:

      • callto:skypename
      • about:blank
      • tel:+310205224466
