Can't override component property with blank value

On the carousel on the front page of Go Green, there are 5 items for the default persona. It is not possible to show only 4 for another persona, because when one is left blank, inheritance will add it to the component.

This is also true for, for example, tags in "upcoming events" and maybe even checkboxes
