Description
Our client has a shared CMS with several departements. Each departement has its own content, for instance departements corperate has only access to content/corperate.
Each departements has its own security domain, which allows the editors access only the contents of its own departements, cg the content is not shared.
The site is a REST service which produces the XML output to a widget platform. The widget uses the services to navigate and search into the content.
Each departement has its own sitemap en sitemenu. The sitemenu is used to generated the site navigation by way of a REST service.
Each departement had its own host and mountpoint.
However, the editor user connected to the security domain cannot use the hst editor. Somehow it is only possible for an administrator to use the hst editor.
This should be changed. it should be possible to create an security domain for the hst editor which gives access to the hst menu. If a group is linked that security domain,
the users in that group should have access to the menu which belongs to the specific domain.
Example:
User x belongs to editor group corportate-editors.
Corperate-editors is linked to security domain corporate.
The security domain gives access to
- /documents/corperate
- /documents/images/corperate
but as well to the menu of the corperate departements, and not to the menu of the other departements.
This issues should be addressed before september, when the project goed live.
