Order of menu items in menu designer not preserved

When changing the name of a menu item in the menu designerm, the menu item is moved to the bottom of the list of siblings. It is possible to move the items back to their original position, however, one would expect the menu item to remain at the location it was originally at.

This only happens when the name of the menu item is changed, when the url designer reference or external url fields are filled this does not happen.
