Content Blocks - Image link picker field to show the file name only with icon and provide links

At the moment (~ 7.9), if an image is selected by link picker field, it shows the physical node path.
It would be much better if it can show the file name with file type icon on the left just like the binary folder list view already does.
The physical node path could be shown in the tooltip.
Also, when clicking on the binary link, it doesn't show or navigate to the binary document in a tab yet. It would be also really better if it can provide link there, too.
