Sitemap.xml plug-in doesn't cache sitemap.

We* tried to use the sitemap.xml for onehippo.com. We found that there was no caching, such that every request would trigger the crawling of the sitemap again, which we consider too much load. The results of periodic crawling should be cached in memory or in the repository. There appears to be some kind of support for storing the sitemap.xml as an asset, and serving it through the binaries servlet...?
