Poll plugin: Javascript console logs TypeError: Cannot read property 'parentNode' of null

Steps to reproduce:
1) Start new archetype project and add the Poll component
2) In the Channel Manager drag & drop the Poll component to a container (enable the developer console)
3) Select a poll document in the component

Expected: No errors in the developer console
