Selections - Cannot set 'Required' option (non-empty and required validators) in Field Property Editor

At the moment, the selection field property editor in document editor, doesn't allow to set 'Required' option, which internally sets 'non-empty' and 'required' validators in nodetype definitions for the namespace config.
It would be great to expose properties in the right pane for 'Required' (maybe and 'Optional') like other fields.
Otherwise, at the moment, you have to go to CMS Console to add the validators manually.
