Scheduled remove embargo doesn’t work

It’s not possible to scheduled remove an embargo. An error is shown in the dialog and the scheduled date isn’t saved. The following error is logged:
javax.jcr.RepositoryException: org.quartz.JobPersistenceException: Failed to store job and trigger [See nested exception: javax.jcr.nodetype.ConstraintViolationException: /content/documents/xxx: mandatory property

groups does not exist]

Steps to reproduce:
As an embargo user open a document for which embargo is set
Click embargo > scheduled remove embargo
Set a date / time and click ok
The error is shown
