[Backport to 7.9] - Restore image variant does not function

The issue was reproduced on archetype 7.9.7:

Current situation:

1. Log in into the CMS
2. Open the images tab of the Browse perspective
3. Upload an image "ImageA"
4. On the thumbnail Choose another image "ImageB"
5. Click on Restore on the thumbnail, observe that the name is still "ImageB"
6. Now choose "ImageB" again
7. "ImageA" is still shown

Desired situation
At step 5 the name of Image should change to ImageA, so imageB can be choosen in step 6.
