Regression - Changes made to components in channel manager in IE8 are not saved

1. Login to CMS as admin in IE8 browser
2. Navigate to channel manager >> Select any channel >> Edit that channel
3. Select any component and edit it
4. After editing the values, click on Save button

Expected - The changes to be saved
Actual - Nothing happens, when I navigate to other component and return to this component I loose the changes I made.
