Regression: simple document search does not return any results

Searching for documents in the Browse perspective of the CMS does not return any results anymore.

Steps to reproduce:
1. login as admin to the archetype CMS
2. navigate to the Browse perspective
3. enter "solar" in the search field and click the magnifier glass icon

Expected: the document 'solar power: the sky is the limit' is found
Actual: no documents are found

This is not related to drafts no longer being indexed. Also after the 'solar power' document is edited and published, searching for 'solar' does not return any results anymore.
