Document Type Editor: Specifying the value of size or height and width has no effect

Log in to CMS
Navigate to Configuration tab
Try to create a new document type or edit existing one
Issue - try to add/ edit a field of type String
put some value in size and save , no impact on default size of string field, so no impact by entering value of size parameter.
Repeat above for height and width in field fof type Formatted text, no impact by entering value of height and/or width parameter.

This issue is unchanged in chrome 19, IE 9, FF 12.
