Workflow on requests no longer accessible.

When a request for publication has been made (in CMS, request editable copy from document in workflow-demo tree and request publication), the view within the dashboard is the only view of the request. Shouldn't the variants view show the request? Or somewhere else.
This urgently needs to be fixed, and should probably be discussed between most of us, however the first assigned based on who knows probably best what was the earlier status of this.
This issue blocks giving a demo, and issue CMS7-392.
