Cannot have two different foldertypes applied to two subfolders of assets

Under assets, we have set up two subfolders that have different hippostd:gallerytype properties. This works OK when uploading files: one subfolder has standard assets and in the second subfolder our own asset type (brochure) is created.

However, I cannot seem to get two accompanying hippostd:foldertype settings to work correctly. When I copy the query new-file-folder to new-brochure-folder, change the content accordingly, and set the foldertype of the custom asset subfolder to it, no context menu pops up at all when clicking the little arrow besides the folder.
