Xinha field editing doesn't take up value in first go

On editing a document's Xinha field, the changes are not taken up/visible in the first go.
On trying again, it is successful.

Steps to reproduce:
Important:- The following steps reproduce the error in a 'fresh' session. Log into the CMS and follow the steps.

1. in the CMS, edit a document's Xinha field.
2. Click on 'Save & Close'. The changes are not shown in green. Rather, the old text is shown, without any changes.
3. Click on "Edit: again.
4. Make changes in the Xinha field. Old text is shown in red and strikedthrough font. New text is shown in Green.

Another scenario:
1. Follow steps 1 and 2.
2. click on "Publication Actions" and Publish anyway(without changes visible in red or green). - Erros log comes up. See the attached file
