Document information is hidden until you switch to small column view and back

In the new 7.4 UI the CMS displays more document information in the browser view. However most of this information is hidden when you click on a folder (only name and state icon). If you switch to the small view (same info, smaller column) and then to the big view, you get to see the "extra" information (see screenshots).
