"Cannot restore across different node types" when restoring revision after namespace version change

For some of our documents we cannot restore older versions of a document. This is because the version of the namespace of that document was upgraded. The user should not be able to press the "Restore" button for older versions of documents. The Restore button should be disabled. In our case, the button is not disabled. If the user then presses the restore button, an error message is shown. See screenshot.
