    Description

I created a facet select by hand in the console and it worked fine. Next I created an internal link to it from a Xinha field. Everything seemed fine: the facet select was selectable in the linkpicker and I could press OK. But after that there was no internal link in the Xinha field. At least a warning would be helpful. Or not being selectable in the link picker. Or of course: fixing it.

      The log said:
16.12.2009 16:40:58 ERROR [org.hippoecm.frontend.plugins.xinha.services.XinhaFacetHelper.createFacet():42] uuid is null. Should never be possible for facet

There was nothing after this in the log.

      Use-case:
I have a folder about upgrading to a new CMS 7 version. Several of these documents explain the same thing about upgrading to a new namespace. I want those documents to link to a small document explaining that part in general, so that readers know that it is the same they may have read before so can skip it. That small document could also be listed in the upgrading folder, but by its subject, it should also be in the folder about the content repository. So I put the document in the latter and made a facet select to it in the upgrading folder. Now I wanted to link to it and then it is quite natural to link to the closest instance of it, which was the facet select. Furthermore, this would make the upgrading folder more self contained, having less internal links outwards, which seems more elegant. And it would also allow to change the target of the facet select and change in this way several links of equal meaning at once. Although in my use case I would not expect myself doing that, as the small document is created especially for this purpose, so if the information should change, the content of the small document would be change, there would not be relinking. However, in other cases of several links of equal meaning, relinking them all at once could be very useful.
