Replication needs to be disabled on application start up

If you want to restore a backup of a database to a different environment - e.g. from User Acceptance Environment to Load Testing Environment - it should be possible to turn off replication on application start up, otherwise there is a danger of replicating data incorrectly to another environment owing to host settings also pointing back to where the backup came from. This is especially important if restoring a copy of the prod database to a non-prod environment.
