Description
User stories
As an editor/author, when I open a document link picker
- to select a document to use in a component, I want to be able to identify the documents that are compatible with the component
- To select a document to use in a link field,I want to be able to identify the documents that are compatible with the link field’s nodetype restrictions.
Requirements
- Restrict document types in the picker based on compatibility with the component - Auto filter compatible documents for components and gray out the ones that are not compatible
- Restrict document types in the picker based on compatibility with the Link field “nodetype” configuration and gray out the ones that are not compatible
- Add a disabled document tooltip to explain why the document cannot be used with component/link field
- Add a tooltip to “OK” button to explain why it is disabled
- Add an information message in link picker about which document types are compatible with the component or link field
Deliverables and Ending State
- Component link pickers show the documents that are incompatible with the component grayed out so that the compatible ones are easily visible
- Link pickers for Link fields show the documents that are incompatible with the component grayed out based on the nodetypes selected for these fields for the specific document type
- Tooltip for grayed out documents in the link picker to explain that they are not compatible with the component or link field
- Tooltip for OK button in the link picker to explain that selected documents are not compatible with the component or link field
- An information message in link picker about which document types are compatible with the component or link field
