[Backport 14.x/15.x] Allow unknown namespace to be used in "nodetypes" option of NodePickerController

When an "unknown" namespace is configured in the "nodetypes" setting of the NodePickerController, it will throw an error when the code validates if the selected node is a valid selection.

It seems unnecessary to throw an error in this case.
