Description
h3 Context
The revision history dialog says taking docs offline creates revisions but that doesn't happen.
After having taken a document offline, no extra row shows (like it did back in version 11), also no frozenNode is created below /jcr:system/jcr:versionStorage/
Apparently this has changed around 12.5 with projects feature, maybe campaigns . Functionally this may be considered alright, as there's no content difference when taking offline, so then it is a UI bug at least, see
It is also mentioned in documentation at https://documentation.bloomreach.com/14/library/concepts/content-repository/configure-document-versioning.html, section 'Basic Versioning'
Note that a customer considers this a functional bug:
the question which version of a document was published during which period of time can not be answered completely: You can tell which version might have been online and be sure that no other version was online but you can not tell anymore if it was online the complete period of time inbetween its publication and the publication of the next version. It is important to be able to proof that a certain document version was available for a site user.
Scope
- Remove "and when taken offline" from text.
