CMS ComponentNotFoundException in firefox

When using Bloomreach CMS in firefox we sometimes get the following error: Something went wrong. Message: ComponentNotFoundException (see also screenshot and stack trace).

Customer reported they can reproduced it while using the latest firefox version in windows and I'm able to reproduce in the mac as well

 
Steps to Reproduce
It reproduced it while using the latest firefox version 

• Login in the cms.
• Go to the experience manager, open any channel and make sure the 'Show container and components outlines' option is on.
• At the sidebar menu click on 'Content'.
• Again at the sidebar menu click on 'Experience manager'.
• Once again at the sidebar menu click on 'Content'.
• The error occurs.

It is occuring intermittently
