For editors, make content blocks sorting easier for long documents

In case of a document type with content blocks (or a multiple compound field). with many blocks in a document instance, sorting by using the arrows is not so useful for editors.

The request is here to come up with an alternative way of sorting, for instance by using numbered dropdown, or maybe an ordering dialog.

As a client puts it:

The problem is that editors sometimes include 10-15 compounds within an article and then lose the overview if you can only sort by using the arrows.

Our editors would like to be able to sort the individual components within an article document via dropdown. The dropdown allows you to assign numbers that then reflect the sorting.
Instead of the arrows on the side of the component, they would like to use such a numbered dropdown for simpler handling.
