Page copy doesn't work when chinese (and maybe other) characters

If you try to copy a page to Chinese channel, copy action fails (it seems no remote call is executed at all)
Steps to reproduce:
1.) create a page in a channel
2.) select page/copy
3.) add chinese chars in the "last element" field
4.) click "copy" to see the error
