Failure to create xpage in experience manager results in unhelpful message

Configure experience pages.
Make a mistake in the sitemap ie _any_html (notice the missing .)
Create a page.

This results in the unhelpful message:
Failed to retrieve Sitemap representation for document[some uuid]

This message disapears so fast that there is not any reasonable time to actually read it. No message appears in the log.

The message itself can be clearer, though in essence it can be considered correct. The speed at which the error dissapears makes it unhelpful.

Additionally, you are then stuck on the document creation sidebar, but saving again will tell you you have no acces to that document.
