Deleting a retainable document does not remove the handle

Steps to reproduce:

1. create a new document
2. click "save as draft"
3. open "Document" menu and click "Delete"
4. confirm the "Delete" dialog
5. create a new document with the same name

Expected:

A new document is created with the same name as the first document.

Actual:

An error is displayed that a document with that name already exists. Checking the console I can see that the handle node has not been deleted.
