[regression] The component is not outlined after adding it to a channel which has the Component outline button disabled

Steps to reproduce:

1. Go to a channel
2. Hide the component overlay (turn off the Show containers and component outlines toggle button)
3. Add a component from the left side menu

Expected result:

The toggle button should be toggled on (and the overlay displayed) after adding the component

Actual result:

The button is still off
