SPA Integration Demo Essentials feature broken (ConstraintViolationException)

Follow the steps for setting up a local project ('Create Bloomreach Experience Manager Project') at https://documentation.bloomreach.com/14/library/concepts/spa-integration/demo-projects.html

After adding the SPA Integration Demo feature, rebuild and restart, following exception is thrown:

[INFO] [talledLocalContainer] 	at org.apache.jackrabbit.core.nodetype.EffectiveNodeType.getApplicablePropertyDef(EffectiveNodeType.java:782) ~[?:?]

The application does start up, Essentials shows another rebuild cycle is needed, which does not throw any further exceptions.

When up and running, some configuration appears to be missing, like hst:pagemodelapi = resourceapi and CORS headers on root mount and possibly some URL rewriter rules (not sure).
