    Description

      Reproduction

      • Log in into the dxP
      • append the path of a folder to the path parameter of the url e.g. /cms?path=/content/documents/hap/banners

      Current situation

      • A document tab is shown and the url does not show the path to the folder

      Desired situation

      • To be discussed.
      • Should a document tab be opened for a folder ?
      • Should the url also show the path of a folder ?
      • Should also a tab be displayed for a folder when navigating to that folder from the navigator ?
The current situation is at least inconsistent.

      As discussed with cdekort:

      • Don't show a document tab for a folder
      • If pm decides to support deep linking to folders, update the url when navigating to a folder

CMS-12441 at first excluded folders and directories, so when opening a deep link to folder in the cms, the content root was opened.
End to end tests failed, because previously that was possible. For pragmatic reasons it was decided to restore the functionality to be able to open folders. That brought to light this issue. From a technical point of view an empty editor is opened for a folder.
