External links from the menu are not processed correctly by SPA SDK

Scenario:

1. Open menu editor from a SPA channel (v14)
2. Add new menu item marked as external link
3. Specify an url for the external link and save it
4. Open the channel and try to open the external page from the menu

Problem: nothing happens

Expected behavior: external redirection browser dialog appears
