Wicket Ajax error on login screen

Reproduction path:

• create a project and set 'send.usage.statistics.to.hippo' to false in the main pom.xml
• build and start the project
• on the login screen switch language using the dropdown

Result: a Wicket Ajax error is shown in the browser console:

wicket-ajax-jquery-ver-1534422802000.js:1 Wicket.Ajax:  Wicket.Ajax.Call.processComponent: Component with id [[idb]] was not found while trying to perform markup update. Make sure you called component.setOutputMarkupId(true) on the component whose markup you are trying to update.

When 'send statistics' is false, it looks like a component is accessed by Wicket that is not there. When I ran it in wicket development mode the id of the component was "[[termsAndConditionsc]]".
