Can't pick Pages from the Link picker

As an editor I want to be able to create an internal link in the document editor to a Page I created using the Add New Page functionality in the Channel Manager.

Note that in the Site Menu Editor this is possible, and I was surprised to find out that this is not possible from the link picker in the document editor.
