Images Search Result doesn't display the image thumbnails

When you browse the images you can nicely preview the thumbnail variants of all the available images (ScreenShot 1, ScreenShot 1.1 ). When you search for an image using the search input field on the upper left corner, the result is displayed in a different format (Screenshot2) with the following differences:

1. it doesn't have a thumbnails view
2. the list view is showing different fields from the list view in browse mode

Not sure if this can be considered a bug (please change the type if you think so) but It would be a nice improvement to keep the view consistent for both cases.
