Drop down validation on "channelsettings" doesn't work until it's touched/or dirty

Would you investigate if there is fix in Angular Material for this.

Steps to check:

1. Remove initial value from HapChannelinfo.java and add required=true in parameter
2. build shared,enterprise
3. Then check on channel settings page and click save

Notice drop down is not turned red until you touch it
