Changes argument from hints to branchId in BranchingService

The active project id (branchId) is no longer stored in the hints. Implementations of the BranchingService can therefore no longer look up the branchId from the hints. Since the BranchingService only needs the branchId and nothing else from the hints it makes sense to change the argument from hints to branchId.
