Right side-panel does not close correctly when Escape is pressed

Pressing Escape while a side-panel is open closes it. However, this does not work correctly for the right side-panel. First of all, the editor disappears yet the panel stays open (see screenshot). Steps to reproduce:

1. Click an 'Edit content' button
2. Press the Escape key

Expected: the right side-panel closes fully.
Actual: the editor slides way but the panel stays open

When a document has changes, pressing 'Escape' also does not trigger the confirmation dialog "Discard changes?". Steps to reproduce:

1. Click an 'Edit content' button
2. Change a field
3. Press the Escape key

Expected: before the side-panel actually closes a confirmation dialog is shown ("Discard changes?", the same as when clicking the "Cancel" button)
Actual: the side-panel closes directly.
