Build number manifest entry is broken

The archive section of the maven war plugin configuration has an Implementation-Build manifest entry that is not functional. The ${buildNumber} property that is used is supposed to be created by maven buildnumber plugin but this plugin is not configured in the POM. It should be discussed how we prefer to keep track of what code version a particular end artifact corresponds to.
