[Selections] Warning logged when selecting value of multiple field

I add a multi-select field (checkboxes) to a document, edited the document, selected two values and Save & Closed the document. This produces the following warning:

WARN http-nio-8080-exec-10 [JcrItemModel.<init>:89] Instantiation of item model by path failed: javax.jcr.PathNotFoundException: /content/documents/essx/blog/2015/07/first-blog-post/first-blog-post/essx:testvaluelist

Cause is the use of a deprecated JcrItemModel constructor, which tries to load the item representing the checked boxes in comparison mode, on the published variant, while this property doesn't exist on that node yet.
