Essentials 'Welcome' default settings are not saved/restored, 'Get started' needs to be clicked

Steps to reproduce:
1) Start archetype and go to Essentials for the first time
2) Change templating language - FreeMarker template
3) Click Library to start selecting features
Expected: Settings are stored.
Actual: Settings are not stored.

'Get started' does not indicate clicking this is needed to save settings, seems no reason to click it. It should either be impossible to go directly to the library without clicking Get started, or auto-save must be done on navigating away from the welcome page.
