Google maps component does not work on Event detail page

Reproduction path:

• create project from archetype
• install Events and Google maps component
• in the CM add the google maps component to the footer, eg. with location "Oosteinde 11, Amsterdam" and publish the changes
• in the site the google maps works on the home page and the events overview, but not on an event detail page. (See screenshot).

The inserted java scripts look the same. No google maps api key is entered, and a warning is given about that in the javascript console on other pages. On the detail page it seems to be a problem? Could not spot the problem very easily.

Reproducable on 11.0.2, but I saw it also on 11.2.0-SNAPSHOT.
