X Icon displayed when editing a menu item in IE11

In IE11 an X icon is shown inside input fields when they have focus.
This happens in the following Input fields:

• create/edit menu: label, internal link, external link
• create/edit page: page title, URL

Steps to reproduce (in archetype)

• login into CMS
• Open Getting started channel
• click edit channel
• click edit menu
• click inside "Label" input fields
  Expected: input fields is highlighted blue
  Actual: input fields is highlighted blue AND X icon is shown
