Description
When a versionable node is removed its version history stays behind in the repository. The version history storage can become quite large as a result. JCR does not provide administrative functions to remove obsolete version histories.
A tool was developed in REPO-322 to remove these orphaned version histories from the repository. But disabled in later versions of the repository because it didn't work. See REPO-332. Discussion with bvdschans yielded the conclusion that this functionality was a good fit for the checker tool.
