Internal link to xls and xlsx files are not working correctly

When I upload a xls or xlsx file in the assets for example: example.xls

The name of the node is: examplexls and the translation is example.xls

When I try to add an internal link with the xinha editor to this document it refers to examplexls in stead of example.xls.

On the front end when you try to download the file you will get an unknown filetype.

So far this only affects excel files.
