in jackrabbit 1.4 there are some parts (interface) for SpellChecker. Check wether the implementation is still only in sandbox

If the jackrabbit spellchecker is only in sandbox, we might have to add it to our svn to avoid large changes. What is the best way to do this? Fork it and just leave the apache headers intact? Fork it into closed svn hippo sandbox? Anybody?
