Description
Search takes place in the context set by the UI. If a sub-folder is selected, then search scope operates on that folder only. To extend the scope to the parent of that subfolder one would try to unselect that folder. There is no obvious way of doing that.
STEPS:
- go To the documents in the quickstart
- in the Search box type * and then Enter
- notice that the result of the search includes all visible folders (articles, news, events, overviews), the parent (documents) and the respective content
=> the search operates on the selected scope, i.e. \documents - click, for example, 'articles' to highlight it and reduce the scope of the search
- another search for * will then return the parent folder (articles) and the content of it
=> the search operates on the selected scope, i.e. \documents\articles
In order for the search to operate on \documents again one must clear the search box, navigate away, for example by clicking on the house image (dashboard), and back To the Documents.
